What a show here in Belmont Friday Aug 13th. This is the third year we have used CUB for our Friday Night Live events and each year they get better and better. They are not only Great musicians but a great group of individuals. I had the opportunity to work with Art Bell and Guy Evans on our New Years benefit show for The Children's Advocacy Center in Gastonia. They were very instrumental (no pun intended) in putting this show on. This impressed me the most about this group. Most bands have their own agenda and giving back is not part of it. I have been fortunate to get to know several members of this band and I can't say enough for them, like Mark Reese who is just my man period, Art Bell who if he is ever turned loose on that guitar will amaze you, Guy Evans and Jim Monroe who are the most personable gentlemen you ever want to meet, Don Conrad who is one of the greatest up and coming singers in this area. And all the rest of the band that makes Coming Up Brass my band of choice.

The song, "Saturday In the Park" took on new meaning as CUB's music filled the night sky at Riverside Park in Spruce Pine, NC, 
on Saturday, July 31!  We had a totally awesome evening with great music, lots of dancing, good food and good friends!  And 
since we were dancing the night away under the "big top," even the rain didn't slow us down!  CUB is THE most fantastic band EVER!  
We look forward to seeing them all year long and we always hate to see the evening end.  Thank you ALL for coming to Spruce Pine 
and sharing your tremendous talent with us!  Can't wait till next year!

Coming Up Brass ROCKED Spruce Pine, NC, and Mayland Community College this past Saturday night! We danced the night away at the MCC Foundation's Evening Under the Stars to everything from Sweet Home Alabama to Color My World to Brick House! It was AWESOME! Thanks to all you guys (and Judy) in the band and to all the crew who made this one of the best Foundation events EVER!

You all played at our daughters wedding reception in Spartanburg, SC on July 12. I can't tell you the number of compliments we got on the band. For anyone wondering if this is the right band for your wedding or party, ask anyone that attended our wedding on Aug 6th. We have had more comments on how great the band was than any other part of the reception. We were a little worried because we had a lot of people in from outside this area that have never heard of beach music, but everyone loved it. We are so glad we did not get a DJ. CUB played for four hours and the dance floor was full the whole time and would have stayed that way as long as the band would have played. We could not have made a better choice. They turned a party into an event.
